Our Beliefs
We are a lively, Bible-centred Anglican church, seeking to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the people of Wandsworth.
Put simply we are
COMMITTED TO GOD’S WORD
What we believe and what we teach is governed by our understanding of the Bible. We want God’s word to shape every aspect of our church life and vision. Specifically, we are passionate about helping everyone understand what the Bible says and for it to make a God-glorifying difference in our lives.
COMMITTED TO GOD’S PEOPLE
We believe that every Christian needs other believers to help them live the Christian life. We therefore strive to be a church where God’s great love is known and reflected amongst us. We want to learn to love one another deeply and sacrificially in all sorts of practical ways.
COMMITTED TO GOD’S WORLD
We’re delighted to send out and support missionaries across the world. However, we are also excited to have the nations on our doorstep. We therefore want to be a church full of people eager to lovingly and compassionately speak of Jesus and to love our neighbours practically. We long to increasingly reflect the diversity of our community.
More officially
Although we are not formally part of any denomination, our senior pastor is a Church of England minister and we have good relations with the Diocese of Southwark. We uphold the traditions and teaching of the Anglican Reformers contained within the 39 Articles of Religion, the Book of Common Prayer, and the Ordinal.
We enjoy strong partnerships with many other Bible believing churches in the local area and work closely with the Parish of Wandsworth. As part of the Co-Mission network, whose Articles of Faith we subscribe to, we are working with churches across the city to seek to reach the unreached for Jesus by trying to plant and establish reformed evangelical churches in London.
